Look at you!

Being the sauceboxes that we are, naturally we love e-cards! Those sassy little meme’s get us through each day. Recently we came across this one: ecardsNow we all have been through this: that person you really thought you would never be OK without. Through the heartbreaks and the tears and all the other emotions you may have gone through and boom. You are actually living and breathing and doing just fine now, it’s amazing right!?

What’s even better than that feeling is the feeling you get when that person tries to come back into your life randomly and you get your chance to say “no.” It is rewarding really because at that moment you realize you are now so much stronger than you ever thought you were.

Even if you are not to this point yet, you eventually will be(it is a fact of life) and you will know exactly how we feel.

You’ll be just fine,

The Busy Body Betty

We all know of that one busy body who just can’t seem to pry out of other peoples business. She’s your Chem-lab partner, old friend from high school who spills the latest dirt every girls night out, or your co-worker. They are all around us. The question is how do you deal with it? Not every busy body is a complete and utter brat. They come in all shapes and sizes. She might even be your dearest friend but at times her gossip rants will drive you up the wall.

First and foremost, you must know how the mind of a busy body works. Something about being “in the know” makes them feel good. Almost superior to you. They have information that you don’t. They love that! Not only do they have juicy information on someone they have ammo to spin a conversation into speaking their mind. Busy bodies THRIVE off letting people know where they stand on every single topic. When you take a step back and really break it down… it’s sad. These people clearly want to feel accepted and this is how they have been able to do so.

The next time you come across a busy body remember to take what they say with a grain of salt. Don’t allow their information to sway how you feel about someone or a situation. They have their opinion and you are more than welcome to have yours. If you don’t agree with something: VOICE IT. If you like the person they are bad mouthing: TELL THEM. Any busy body can immediately be shut down by the truth because they want to be accepted. Once they sense you are not into what they are saying…. they will stop. They feel defeated. Embarrassed. As if they are no longer accepted.

If something bothers you, Betties, you have the control to make it stop.

Things We Love: Knock Knock Products

Every now and then we come across products that we absolutely love and of course we want to share them all with you!

Knock Knock products are for the comedians, the passive aggressive types, the dysfunctional ones and of course the writers. We say this with love and well, because it’s true. Once you look through some of their products you’ll love them.

They offer; journals, notepads, stamps, sticky notes, stuff for your dorm room and more!

.

They make their products so fun and unique that even if it is a note that starts off with “things you do that really piss me off” it’s still lighthearted.

We originally found one of Knock Knock‘s mini journals at Pier One. While flipping through it and laughing at the random quotes and sarcastic nature we decided we had to find more products and more products we found!

The office products are sure to help ease some tension when your boss tells you something you don’t want to hear.

Check out their site (Knock Knock Stuff) for even more fab finds. Another great idea for a Christmas gift!

Change

“The only constant in life is change,” it is inevitable and that’s life.

If you don’t like something..change it. So simple to say, but change may be very hard to do. We could fill this entire post up with amazing quotes, pictures and stories on change, but instead we are going to try to give out a little inspiration for anyone who needs that extra push. Why? Because sometimes we need that extra push to change things in our lives as well.

Change is probably one of the hardest things to do. Some people embrace it and simply need it all the time, some hate it and live their life their way and that’s that. But there are people who want change and are hesitant to take that leap. It tends to happen for a reason and usually that reason leads to a better life and opportunities. We Betties, we have gone through a lot of change in our lives from living in different states, starting and ending relationships to new friends and changing our majors in college (time and time again).

One big way to tell if you may need change in your life is your moods. If your moods are like a roller coaster and you’re not going through menopause, you need a change. Maybe your life is stagnant, which causes you to feel down. One word: CHANGE. Quit complaining and get out there and do something new!

Please challenge yourself. Not only is it a form of change but it will make you feel so good once you’ve accomplished whatever it was you were trying for.

1. Be positive. Make that invisible cup go from half empty to half full..all of the time.
2. Change up your routine from time to time, take a new route to work, read instead of watching television, shower in the morning instead of at night or vice-versa.
3. Get in contact with an old friend or make time for the friends you have now that you rarely see anymore.

The older you get the harder it is to change something drastically, so do the bigger changing while you’re in your 20’s and 30’s.

Big Change:
1. Quit your job, if you’re miserable. Try something new, you have time to dabble.
“I love my job, if you ask me anyone who hates their jobs have no one to blame but themselves. We make our own destinies and I’ve made a sweet one here.” –Horrible Bosses

2. Move to a new town, city or state. Hell, move to a new country. It’s super nerve-wracking, we have both done it but it provides a new experience, and new friends. Even if you only stay for a couple of months.
3. Try learning something new. Make a bucket list and start doing the things you wrote down on the list.

Be inspired to change, to start something new. It’s really never too late, and life is short. Make your life exciting!

Do you have any creative ways of changing things up in your life? Let us know.
